10 on 10 (#7) | A Day in the Life of Rox

.

Another month on the books - yikes!  Where does the time go?  This past month we have managed to fit a vacation in and have had a few outings with friends - most recently with our fabulous friends, Andy and Christy.  It was Christy's birthday, and I'm kicking myself for not taking my camera with me during our trip to see them (thankfully she had hers!).  We're planning another outing, and I will be sure to carry my camera then.  In the meantime, I chose yesterday as my day to document...using Instagram!

In the morning I made my way through one caffeinated beverage and snuck in another - an iced salted caramel americano with a splash of cream.  Yum!  It always comes with a side of ice water - my standby.  Especially now that I am focusing on staying hydrated for veinous reasons.

This is the daylight in my office - since I have no daylight in my office.  On those days I'm dragging, I light it up!  I had it running for a bit yesterday.

I planted myself in one of these for a bit while waiting for my doctor yesterday afternoon.  I was early, and another patient was late, to my advantage.  They pulled me back into the room rather quickly.  I have one more follow-up next month with the pulmonologist for another echo.  I'll be surprised if it isn't amazingly normal.

The rain attempted to fall from the sky last evening, but only in very small amounts.  As you can see, there was some blue sky the rain had to contend with.  It'd be nice if we could have a good downfall for more than just a few seconds.

In between my doctor's appointment and the girls' swim lessons, I grabbed my Nook, and caught up a bit on my reading...for the short time I had available.

The girls were telling secrets before lessons.

And then things turned silly - or at least Ayla did.

Ayla made a splash while swimming across the pool.  She's working on passing another level.  Ayv was in the deep end - which wasn't as pretty.  I mean, really, who doesn't love all of the color above the water?

Ayla's pre-supper past-time at Hickory Park.

This is my frowny face while pumping gas.  I heard rumors that gas was going to dip below $3.00 per gallon.  Yeah...that hasn't happened here.

Overall, it was a typical day of work, appointments, and kiddos.  A good day.

Salted caramel??!!! Man oh man! Yum! The one of you in the gas pump is hilarious. I feel your pain. And love how it's all Instagram. I really need to give that a go. Hope you're feeling better! Great day!

I love how this is such a typical day. This will be interesting to you in later years!

Love your daughter's silly face. I love the simple fact that you documented the gas pump. We'll think it was so cheap "back then" when gas cost who knows what in years to come.
